Concrete Volume
FREE
Concrete volume for rectangular elements with wastage allowance, optional weight and a rounded-up order quantity.
Worked example: floor slab
10 m × 6 m × 150 mm, 1 element, 3% wastage, density 2400 kg/m³
V = 10 × 6 × 0.15 = 9.000 m³ With wastage = 9.000 × 1.03 = 9.270 m³ Order (0.5 m³ steps) = 9.5 m³ Weight = 9.270 × 2400 = 22 248 kg ≈ 22.25 t
Frequently asked questions
What wastage should I use?
It depends on the element and site conditions; enter the allowance your project uses. The calculator does not assume one.
Why is the order quantity rounded up?
Ready-mixed concrete is ordered in fixed increments; choose the increment your supplier uses.
